October Stamp Club Project

This is one of the two cards that club members made at October's meeting. This card features the Big Shot's Top Note die. I just loving using the Big Shot. I was so amazed at how easy it is to use. Prior to the Big Shot, I had not used a die-cutting machine. I love how easy the handle turns and how it cuts out the images. I used the Top Note die to cut out the main image using Night of Navy cardstock. On the Night of Navy cardstock I stamped the Pocket Silhouettes using Whisper White ink and Night of Navy ink. It is difficult to see in the picture that I stamped the flowers a little off of each other so that it looks like a shadow.
Card Recipe:
Ink: Night of Navy and Whisper White
Paper: Night of Navy, Kiwi Kiss, and Baja Breeze cardstock, and Urban Garden DSP
Stamps: Pocket Silhouettes
Accessories: Filigree Designer Brads and Circle Ice Rhinestone Brads, 1/8" Circle Punch, Small and Large Oval Punches

Diaper Fold Pouch

At our August Stamp Club meeting we made a diaper fold pouch. This is one of my new favorite projects to make because it is the easiest thing I have ever made. This project literally takes 2-3 minutes to make and there is no prep work, no adhesive, and no cutting. It is a beautiful project in a snap! I think I will make some of these during the holidays! They make the perfect gift idea to slip into someone's mailbox!

Simply Sent Flower Power Card Elements

I am sorry that I have delayed in posting on my blog. I will try my best not to do it again! My goal with this blog is to make myself stamp other projects besides the ones I present at classes, workshops, and clubs, so that I can post them here for everyone to see. I want my blog to be my stamping journal.

Today's post are some of the cards that I have made using the new Simply Sent Flower Power Card Elements. I love these new products featured in the new catalog! There is hardly any stampin involved and if you just want to use the materials found in the kit you can. I made 9 cards and I still have supplies to make 3 more cards! Don't want to make cards? That's fine! You not only can make cards using this kit, but you can create scrapbook pages and other projects using the materials in each kit! What a stellar deal---you can purchase the kit for only $15.95!
Here are three of the cards! Stay tuned and I will share the others!
Happy Stamping!

A BIG product announcement from SU!

During Convention, it was announced that Stampin' Up! will be carrying the Big Shot and exclusive dies starting September 2nd! The Big Shot is a sturdy manual die cutting machine used to die cut materials for use on crafts, home décor projects, and even clothing!

You'll love what the Big Shot machine, a 6-time winner of Creating Keepsakes Reader's Choice Award for best die cutting equipment and dies, can do for you. From sewing to quilting to home décor, the Big Shot is the perfect tool for many types of crafting.

Use our Stampin' Up! exclusive dies to create die cuts and stencils with our artwork and designs for all your craft needs. Planning and preparing projects is fast and economical with the Big Shot machine. Cut out eight of the same chipboard letter or 20 scalloped pennants in just a few minutes. You'll be able to cut and score 3-D items in seconds and create embellishments for cards, scrapbook pages, or any other type of project by cutting multiple images at once.

Review these frequently asked questions regarding the Big Shot.

Question: I have dies from other companies; can I use them with the Big Shot?

Yes, you can. The Big Shot is the most versatile die-cutting machine on the market today. Using the multi-purpose platform, you can use dies, embossing plates, and other products from a wide variety of sources.

Question: I've heard that you can run multiple sheets of card stock through the Big Shot at the same time. How many can I run through at once?

Using the steel rule dies, you can run multiple sheets of card stock through the Big Shot. The number of sheets depends on the die being used. Simple shape dies--dies that do not have perforation or scoring--can cut through up to eight sheets of card stock at once. Dies that feature perforation or scoring or that are more detailed may not produce the exact cuts when cutting multiples. You'll want to experiment and see how many sheets you are comfortable passing through the Big Shot at once to get the desired effect. Chemically-etched dies should only be used to cut one sheet of card stock or paper at a time.

I will continue to add more information regarding this new product. If you would like to learn more about this new and exciting product or would like to get on a list to order yours, please contact me!

SU! announces DIE-CUT STAMPS!

When it comes to quality stamp sets, Stampin' Up! has been an industry leader for several years. Their original, exclusive stamps have earned the prestigious Creating Keepsakes Readers' Choice Award for best rubber stamps eight years in a row, and every year Stampin' Up! works to make them even better!

I am excited to announce that all new stamp sets in the Fall-Winter 2008 Idea Book & Catalog (including new hostess sets) will be die cut for your convenience! I know you enjoy the flexibility of custom mounting your stamps, and with these die-cut sets, all you'll need to do is pop, peel, and place before you begin stamping! Now you can spend more time stamping rather than mounting stamps!

Only SU!'s new stamps will be die cut; sets carried over from the last catalog and those on the dormant list will still require trimming. But, each new set will feature a die cut icon so you will have no problems identifying die-cut sets.

In-Color Sneak Peek!

This is a sneak peek to the upcoming Fall-Winter Idea Book and Catalog! Here you will find the new In-Colors for 2008-2009!

Pink Pirouette: This just might be the perfect pink! It's perfectly girly!

Riding Hood Red: Fairy tales tells us that creativity and daring will get you far in life, but a hint of girlish charm never hurts; hence the name Riding Hood Red.

Tangerine Tango: Fiery like a Spanish sunset, this hot hue is the mouth-watering orange you have been craving!

Kiwi Kiss: This succulent, vivid green pairs well with so many other colors. Anyone up for adding a little strawberry-kiwi flavor to their projects? Kiwi Kiss is great with Pink Pirouette!

Baja Breeze: This soothing color instantly brings to mind weathered surf-shops and antique long boards.....with a Mexican twist!

Pacific Point: This stunning sapphire blue makes me think of sunny days spent lounging by the ocean.

Stampin' Up! Announces New Product Line

I’m so excited about the new product line that Stampin’ Up has just announced! It’s called Décor Elements - a line of self-adhesive vinyl elements. They coordinate with stamps in the Definitely Decorative line. Use them on your walls, to create coordinating home decor items, and more!

I’m not sure what I like best about these. Maybe the fact that they’re so affordable. Or maybe that they’re so easy to apply. Hmmm.. maybe that they’re easy to remove, too, and won’t damage the surfaces they’re applied to. No… I think it’s that they coordinate with our stamp images!

Décor Elements will be available beginning July 1st, but you can see the brochure now! Simply send an email to me to request the brochure and I will get in to you!

Contact me today for your brochure so you can see what all the excitement is for yourself
